This ranking shows the share of blocks mined by each pool over the last twelve months. Pool distribution is a key decentralization indicator: a pool nearing half the network's blocks raises censorship and reorg concerns. Pools coordinate hashrate owned by many independent miners, however, who can and do switch pools when incentives shift.
